Lake Placid Ironman USA Camp 2009

Ironman athletes ascend on Lake Placid once again this June to prepare for race on July 26th.
Campers pre swim on Saturday afternoon. Lake was warm but we are triathletes and wear wetsuits unless we are told we cant'.
Sunday morning long run. Its not how good you looked but how good you looked, right?

That time of year again, Lake Placid Ironman training camp. This was our 10th year and we finally got perfect weather. We have has some very cold years in early June and some good ones as well, but this year was perfect. 70-75, Sunny, lake was low 60's and not one drop of rain the entire 3 days. It did start raining as we were driving back to Albany to catch our flight home, but camp was over so it didn't matter. Odds are good that it will rain once again this year on race day but maybe the splendid weather during the camp will carry over to race day?
