    Rory Trup, a local runner has recently been over come by ARDS (adult respiratory distress syndrome) and has been hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Rory is self-emplyoyed and has no disability insurance. His treatment has been an incredible financial burden on his family (he has a wife and two kids). Here's an opportunity to gather as a member of the athletic community and lend your support.

    What: 24 hour Run & Relays
    Why: To raise money for the R. Trup Trust Fund (Bank of America #11821-00925)
    Who: Runners, joggers, walkers, crawlers, individuals, teams, clubs
    When: 7:00 p.m. Friday 2/25/00 for 24 hour run / relay.
    7:00 a.m. Saturday 2/26/00 for 12 hour run / relay.
    12:00 noon Saturday 2/26/00 for all other events.

    6949 Genesee Ave. (between Nobel & Governor)

    ALL proceeds to directly to the trust fund, which is tax deductable. High school teams may use this relay as a team fund raiser donating half of the proceeds to the R. Trup Trust Fund.

    Pledges: Pledges raised by entrants will be donated to the R. Trup Trust Fund. Thesee pledges can be done on a per mile or a per hour (how 'bout a per minute?) basis. Prizes will be given to those groups or individuals that raise the most funds in each category. Food, refreshments, and music will be provided.
